Learning from Entrepreneurs : interview with “Rahul Devkar”

[dropcaps type=’square’ font_size=’80’ color=’#4a4a4a’ background_color=’#ffffff’ border_color=”]I[/dropcaps] am an aspiring entrepreneur and work in my family business with my father.I joined the Enterprise India Fellowship 2 Years back in January 2020 Jan. I was working on different projects and simultaneously grew interest in reading blogs and creating too. I got a question back then that I could relate to myself completely, how do entrepreneurs achieve so much? How did they do it? We only see the good, the rosy and the successful parts of their journey. But just like me, they must have also struggled and failed to turn their ideas into reality. That’s when I decided to interview entrepreneurs and understand what’s beneath the surface, what’s under the water, what’s the hard work they did that we didn’t see. This enabled my curiosity to connect with them and ask questions and write a blog.

The story starts with someone who also shared the importance of keeping doing even if you don’t see results temporarily in the entrepreneurship journey, Rahul Devkar” is a Content creator, who started this journey by realising the problem he has faced of being not aware of so man things in life because of living in a small town.

  1. Why did you become a Content creator?

So I realise that one year ago there are so many students like me who are from a small town and they don’t have any access to Business learning they don’t know how to expand their family business specifically small businesses and I really found that gap and I just wanted to do something for them so I started to make the content that the one reason and the second reason I was weak speaking front of camera “camera shy” I wanted to break that also so that’s two main reasons and that’s how I became a content creator.

2. What was your mind occupied by when you were at the start line of working on your idea?

So many doubts and questions I was asking to myself and also to my mentor and also there were so many confusions. But what I understood that just keep doing doing doing result will come and whatever you think it will not come very quickly but it will take time to make the result so just keep doing that one thing running in my mind when I started to work on the idea as a project

3. How did you deal with relationships while working on your startup?

While working on my startup it was very negative. Not everyone was supporting me because they were not seeing the result, they didn’t have the surety that it will succeed. They were not sure of whether I will be able to create an impact of what I had the reason for starting this. So that was the negative type of concern i would say that my family and my friends had. But still, I didn’t stop and worked on it consistently.

4. How do you maximize your potential?

Self-reflection is one thing it helps me to maximize my potential believe that all answers are inside me it’s like the problem the solutions are all the things that are inside me and that’s how I reflect and realised where I am lacking and where I am good at which content will people react more in a positive way and which not.
