Driving by my signs.

There is a higher power that controls the events happening in our lives, some believe, some don’t. But instead of saying something is controlling us, I’d say that we get signs & signals from the universe. Those signs and signals can come through a different human, through some incident or by any other medium we accept these signs and make our choices. 

Just a couple of days before the new year began, everybody was asking a – Hey! What’s your plan for this new year’s eve? My friends were heading to Manali and I desperately wanted to join them so a day before I made my mind that I even wanted to go with them for the new year to Manali. I went out to the Railway station. I made a call to my parents. I knew they were going to say clearly no but still I made a call and told them about what plans I had. They told me it wasn’t the right time to go. There are a lot of travel plans for you this year but don’t go now. My heart was calling out for the mountains. I’d made my decision and ignored what my parents said to me. I made my final call and booked my train ticket. From the moment I started planning about packing my stuff while I was on the way back home.  

After coming home my brother called me and asked me about the trip and about the work which I’d to do for my office. I told him that I’d plan on getting the work done. At last he just said time sahi nahi lag raha hai. (Sign) I took this sign and said to myself that most of the things I wanna do my parents agree to. There are only a few things that they don’t agree with. Let me not go now. I canceled the trip. Felt sad the whole day. The next morning I woke up and got the sad news from Rajasthan that my grandmother was no longer with us. 

I regretted the decision that I was making a day before and also felt wise in changing the decision. This change of decision came from the signs that I picked up. I got this sense from one sentence of my brother that something was about to go wrong. I took the sign that things aren’t right and stayed there for a moment and made my decision. A day before I was planning to go for Manali but the moment I got a sign which made me stop where I was going. I felt it was better to be in Vapi than being on the way to Manali and then coming back.

Another example of the same is joining Enterprise : I’ve had this rough road journey from college experiences that I’d lost hope in myself where I was facing a big confusion on what should be my next career move. I’d done a few activities to realize what I was good at. After going through the process I realized that I was a better learner when I had to do practical things. 

At that point, I just suddenly came across a post from Enterprise India which showed you can learn by doing practical things. Another important signal that I got from myself, sometimes when we hear a song and we realize that the particular song has that exact message I needed to hear. Like that the universe gave me the exact thing I wanted. Now It was a big decision for me but I  believed in the inner voice that was saying this is going to be the game-changer for me. I listened to myself and followed my strongest inner voice and I made my decision. 

In one story I was stopped from making the wrong decision and in another, it took me where I exactly wanted to be. The universe is sending me signs through the resources around me. These Signs are providing me with something that helps me move in the correct direction. Getting a feeling from a certain situation can be a sign that is coming to you. Only through being present and knowing what the moment is telling me do I come to realize that my decisions are constantly being pushed by the signs and signals of the universe.

 Many times we aren’t aware of the signs as we are getting them because of the clutter in our heads. It’s a deeper silence that helps to have more of an understanding of the situation and absorb the signs. 

It all happens for a reason. The world is constantly giving us everything we need to move ahead, giving us signs that we accept and make our choices.
