A juggler of her right as well as left-brain, Kanchana is a multi-disciplinary and contemporary artist as well as an HR professional, Consultant, and Project Manager. An MBA by education and after 11 years of experience with organizations like NTPC, TCS, and Accenture, she decided to pivot and join an art school to learn to be an artist. There she went on to complete her Masters in Fine Arts. Today she manages a dual career of being a professional artist and also being a part-time Consultant and Project Manager

Her art practice encompasses a wide oeuvre, comprising of paintings, sculptures, installations, prints, photography, and video-based works. She has exhibited her artworks in 3 solo exhibitions and various group exhibitions. Currently, she is working on a video-based series called ‘Performance of Desire’, which aims to investigate into archetype portrayal of the female form in Indian cinema of the ’80s and ’90s
