They say there is no light without dark, no good without evil, and no right without wrong, similarly, there are no slow-motion moments without the fast pace of life.
Being a 2nd year BBA student, studying CA, joining Enterprise and working on different projects, my life has been like a relay race in the past 6 months where I have been juggling between going to college, working on different projects and managing my studies.
In movies, certain moments are shown in slow motion and somehow we feel the moment right? For example, in a car chase scene, if the hero drifts the car or he jumps it off a ramp, it is always shown in slow motion and somehow it leaves an impact on us.
Has it ever happened to you that a certain moment of your life seems to be in slow motion while you are living it? In the past month, I experienced several slow motions in my life.
The month of October was one of the most exciting months of my life and not because I did something very exciting but because there were so many little things that made my month.
I hardly got anytime to chill with my closest friends because of our differences in routine. But guess what, in that same week of October three of my closest friends came to meet with me, and we spent some quality time together. I am terming it “quality time” because it was not just chilling but really sharing of real emotions without any filters. The time really slowed down
Another slow motion and I guess one of my favorite slow motions was during Diwali. I was excited about Diwali, but well, not about just the sweets and crackers but because I was waiting to wear a ‘kurta’. Something about it makes me feel more confident. I feel like Ranbir Kapoor from Brahmastra. I kind of fell in love with myself.
In our busy and fast-moving lives, we tend to forget what cheers us up. People keep telling me that I am always talking about studies or becoming a CA or being responsible and those are my priorities but while achieving those dreams I don’t want to become someone who forgot to enjoy his youth years.
From here on I know that my life is going to be faster and faster but I am going to make sure that I have these slow-motion moments every now and then.
Because these moments are something that I cherish a lot. These may be some very important memories or something as simple as wearing a kurta but they cheer me up. I forget all my worries and just live in slow motion.
