I can still picture myself sitting there, all fresh, full of energy, after 12th. I was so proud of myself for being vulnerable and giving my 100% in the last two years. And I can’t wait for you guys to have a look and implement some of my learnings in your life as well!
I always assumed life to go from ‘school’ to ‘college’ and believed that junior college is for fun and is in the buffer zone. Just to chill and have a gala time. Little did I know how my choices would impact my future studies and my personality!
When the confusion stage hit, I took advice from every single human I trusted. My parents told me to choose a stream under no influence, my sister said I’d end up doing engineering if I took science, and many said that the other two streams would allow me to be myself.
It was drilled into my head that after two years, I’ll be free like a bird, and these years would pass by very fast. So, I did not give it a lot of thought and opted for science.
Surprisingly, the two years were magical! It was funny how I looked like the girl in the picture for two whole years, wearing this uniform every single day and attending 7 am classes.
But, I followed the rules of my college and subconsciously learnt discipline and consistency!
My schedule would work around the famous saying, ‘Early to bed & Early to rise’ and is hence, fit into my head as the correct way of life and I try my best to follow this even today. There are days of late nights and sometimes, no sleep at all, but I know for a fact that, if I want to make it big in life, this sleep schedule will bring me one step closer. As an Enterprise partner, the day I wake up early, my project ideas, reflection and content writing get a boost and I give my 100%. And this is because I trained my mind to study and be productive in the morning a few years ago. There is no right or wrong here, it is about YOU finding your own pattern!

There’s a term that holds power, a word that one should start implementing at a young age, and junior college gives a headstart if you choose to make the most out of it.
It’s called ‘BALANCE’. You win this word, and the sky is your limit!
My balance was between ‘college’ and ‘art & craft’!
Creating illusions out of the most random patterns was my favourite! What was more interesting was that most of these patterns were inspired from chemical bonds and repetitions that I would learn in the first half of the day studying about science. There was a thrill in combining both the worlds.
At the same time, doing something that already belonged to the existing market also excited me! The task here was to add my own ideas to this brand and design a cover for the product.
At any stage of life, it is extremely important to learn how to balance! It could be the correct balance between studies and social life, work and home, family and friends, you name it.
In JC, it’s very simple. Balance between studies and fun. Give your body it’s food and water!
Food is knowledge, making wise decisions, solving problems, reading and everything and anything that stimulates blood flow to the brain!
Water is playing a sport, making many new friends, exploring the city, dancing, learning music, art, and the options are open!
In my first 6 months of junior college, I played hockey, joined design classes, won a cross-country, travelled, studied physics, chemistry and math, learnt coding, meditated, addressed an audience, and went full out with my energy! These moments are captured like beautiful tattoos inside my brain!
Here’s my little trophy that lifts me up even today, when I think I’m failing or letting myself down. Because I blindly put in my energy and strength in just completing the race! And why not do the same every single day?
Do you see how these little things and habits that don’t bother us at the age of 16, can impact our whole process of thinking?
Today, what keeps me active is learning new 21st century skills, meeting entrepreneurs, learning how to use technology, and many more exciting things that make me feel like a baby entrepreneur. What keeps me grounded is college, learning new subjects, solving numericals, theory, lab practicals, and college events.
To apply this at a professional level in the later stages of life, I direct and play the role the same time,

I watched my trailer in junior college, my movie just started in college, and I cannot wait to finish my movie!

Realise the importance of junior college and kickstart your future the right way at the right time!

Give that little part of you its food and water.
THIS IS BALANCE! The foundation years of your life are in your hands and to maintain balance between the required food and water will make you sharp, confident, and an opportunity magnet!
Make the most out of these two years! You’re not in school, not in college. It’s your own time to be reborn with the skills and attitude of your choice.
