The U.G.-M.E.D. will be conducted in a smart campus mode in Pune city. We believe that the ‘city is your campus’ and that businesses, organisations and individuals across the city offer a much more varied and deeper learning experience than a single large campus offers.

We believe such a smart campus offers the following benefits over a typical college campus:

Refer to the above table. During the first year, the student will be required to come to the central Enterprise space daily (6 days a week) from 8am to 11am. During the latter part of the first year, the student may be involved in some on site projects / travel, in which period they will not be visiting the Enterprise space.

During the 2nd and 3 year, the student will be predominantly involved in apprenticeships and projects. During this period the student will visit the Enterprise space once a week, for a full day. This time will be used for apprenticeship review, personal coaching, and academic learning components.

Projects are the primary mode of learning at Lets Enterprise. You will do projects as a means to help you develop practical skills, gain confidence of getting things done and dealing with people and situations, exploring different industries and business models, meeting people and creating connections, and expanding your body of work. Ultimately, this is what is going to make your uniquely valuable and give you a tremendous competitive advantage – real world experience while you are still in a UG program.

There will be 4 types of projects at the UG-MED. Each category of project offers its own unique opportunities to learn, grow and create connections.

You will work on solving business challenges for real businesses with CEOs and founders while getting mentored by the mentors at Let’s Enterprise.

Projects on design thinking, user research, talent campaigns, digital marketing, experience design, e-commerce, personal branding, launches, e-books, social merit and sustainability projects and much more.

As of now we have MoU’s in place with 38 industries in Pune, and this list continues to grow.

The students will meet with industries in a network event and will have an opportunity to connect and present themselves. Getting the apprenticeship is not a guarantee but we will work with each student to prep them and will not give up until every single student has found the appropriate opportunity.

Apprenticeships at Lets Enterprise will begin towards the end of the first year, and carry on into the second year. In the 3rd year, you will do one long apprenticeship.

The apprenticeships in the UG-MED program are ‘mentored apprenticeships’. This means that:

• There will be a point of contact from the company where you are working and a point of contact from LE who will be in touch with you
• There will be a concrete problem statement given to you by the company, which you will be expected to solve
• Once a week you will meet your point of contact at LE and update your progress and goals for the next week
• There will be at least 3 checkpoints during which you will be required to present your progress to your peers and mentors and seek their feedback

Some examples of problem statements that you would work on are:

• Conduct user research and understand customer needs, pains and gains
• Develop a community of users, suppliers, ecosystem players for a company
• Help a company or individual to strategise and kick start their social media presence
• Analyses sales or product data and come up with strategies to increase sales or reduce costs
• Help a company create a recruitment campaign to find the right kind of talent
• Create a ‘experience mapping’ of a retail or service center for a company
• Develop a user manual, e-book or landing page for a business or individual
• Create a business analytics dashboard for a CEO / CXO
• Conduct market / competition research to help a company take a decision

Let’s Enterprise has a strong network of 50+ industry tie-ups in Pune and beyond. These are established businesses ranging from small and medium-sized industries, entrepreneurs and startups, and some large corporations based in Pune. The industries will meet the UG-M.E.D. students in networking events, and students will be placed for ‘mentored’ apprenticeships with them.

Additionally, all our students go through a process – STORYSELLS, developed by Let’s Enterprise mentors. This prepares you to reflect on pieces of your story, build a body of work around that and create a strategy to connect with people and organisations they want to work or collaborate with.

No, because it’s your responsibility to do the work of reaching out and making things happen.

We are here to empower you, not spoon feed you. We will be with you until things happen for you. But we will not make things happen for you.

However, this is the approach that we are very confident about – from 2nd year, LE coaches will work with each student to ‘reverse engineer’ their work / masters goal. We are confident from our 5 years experience with Enterprise India Fellowship, of being able to support students to find a work opportunity in any reasonable geography, in any reasonable industry – as long as the student continues to actively participate in the program, and build their body of work.

All students will work on apprenticeships in their 2nd year and full-time jobs in their 3rd year. After graduation, students can either apply to continue at the organisations they’ve worked with in these 3 years or apply at any of our 30+ industry partnerships. We encourage students to think beyond “placements” and instead work towards “creating opportunities for yourself”.

From year 2, we work with each student in a coaching process to help them find their interest and identify potential organizations and bosses they would like to work with. We will work closely and individually with every student to support them in this process. We don’t say guaranteed, we are 100% confident that each of our students will find the opportunities they aim for.

The UG M.E.D program comes with a degree from a UGC-recognised university. However, the degree is not a compulsion for people who just want to do the program and get a certificate from Let’s Enterprise. We recommend that if you want to do your master’s then you must consider taking up the degree too.

The UG M.E.D program is curated by Let’s Enterprise. We have tied up with a Pune based college which is affiliated to Pune University (SPPU) for the academic component and for the degree.

Through the 2nd and 3rd years of the program, students work closely with a career coach to identify their inclination after graduation and curate a career roadmap for the next couple of years. Any good master’s program counts your work experience and your real-world experience more than anything else. When you finish the undergrad program you walk out with 2 years of work experience and letters of recommendation from industries where you have done apprenticeships, which makes you ready to pursue a master’s of your choice. However, it is important to recongnise that many top ranked institutes around the world, require students to have at least 2 – 3 years of work experience before they are accepted. Our approach and perspective is also almost always to suggest the student to get a few years of ‘enterpreneurial’ work experiences before they apply for masters.
